GIFT CARD SCRIP
This is the Home of the Gladstone Booster Scrip Program. We want our community members to know what
Scrip is and how each of us, without spending any extra money, can contribute
to our GHS Athletic Programs.
What is Scrip?
Scrip is essentially gift certificates. You purchase gift certificates, and
then spend them like cash at participating merchants. We have approximately 70
merchants who participate in our program. Fred Meyer, McMenamin’s, Oak Grove
Cinema and Starbuck’s are just a few!
How does buying Scrip help raise money?
While you buy and use the gift certificate at face value
(meaning a $100 certificate allows you to spend $100), the participating
merchant returns an agreed-upon percentage to our program. The percentages
differ by merchant. They range from 3-40%. For example, if you typically shop
at Fred Meyer, and use our Scrip gift certificate to pay for a $100 purchase,
you’ve automatically contributed $4.00. Do this 52 weeks a year, and that
contribution adds up to $208! Remember –
you’ve done nothing differently, just used Scrip instead of cash or a check. Encourage your friends and family members to
order gift cards also.
How can I participate?
It’s easy! Just fill out a Scrip order form, and turn it in to
the GHS office. Check out the “Scrip Gift Card Order Dates” page to verify when
the next order will be submitted. If
you’d like a step-by-step guide, please read the instructions below the
calendar.
